After the Turn 250 update today, the SA alliance now controls 97 regions, which meets the Alliance Victory conditions: it is more than 1/3 of the total connected regions, and at least 3/2 as large as the next-largest alliance (the ML have 63). We therefore start the 5-turn countdown clock: if the SA alliance continues to meet the victory conditions on each newspaper up to and including the Turn 255 news, this Universe will be sent into a New Era! The SA nations now control more production than the rest of the world (ALL other nations) put together! The free, fair and friendly nations of this world are besieged like never before. If this plague is not rapidly cured, we are ALL going to be dead in just 5 more turns! Fortunately, WE ARE NOT DEAD YET! Rstlne30, apeloverage, and Kalvis, will you fight with us against the SA? The world needs you more than ever. Not to fight now is the same as letting the SA declare victory and vanquish you, without a whimper! (Yes, we are even begging Kalvis - desperate times call for desperate measures, and we are not above asking our mighty former ally, then former enemy to join us again now!) Cartwright, MacBook, and Professor - It has been a great war, having you as our Mongoose League allies, and we Porcupines are sorry if our leadership has failed here at the end. Sadly, this is probably just another of those false alarms--we bump barely over the line, someone bumps us back and stops the clock, and so on. Still, you are right that we have pulled through your last call to arms, and I can assure you that if we win this world, we will take good care of it. Not like that dirty, mother-skinning such-and-such Mr. Boldly. Anyway, rstlne and I have been friends for a very long time, and I don't think that it is nice of you to try to incite him to attack us. The clock running low doesn't mean we should all just turn nasty! Mr. Ape remains my hated enemy, and you can rest assured that he is not neutral in this war. If ever I find him, I will attack him, like I did before. Kalvis? Who knows about Kalvis... I think you make him angry. We are on turn 250 in this world (is that three years?) largely on the strength of your ability to bring people together against a common enemy. My poolside sabbatical has been cut short. I hate when that happens.
