Turn reports and Newspaper are mostly grief and misfortune anyway, so I'm going to miss the news from the front from Boldies that spice up the game nicely and make you sometimes even smile a bit. Acanthopis is going to be hard pressed to keep up with the current entertainment level of this game all by himself as others seem reluctant to write anything in public. I like to read something more than just numbers and statistics in this game, and I believe others feel the same way. So please let these remains of them to live another day. They pose no threat to anyone anymore. Yours, -Zabor ====================================================================== PE-WJ-Diplo [BoldlyGo]: News from the Front Date:Thu, 28 Sep 2006 20:09:53 +0000 To reply, log in at http://www.powersedge.net/?Page=Login or use your newspaper form. As my train passed a lifeless looking hill covered with smoke and shell craters a well aimed brick struck me on the head. Attached to it was this message. You Spineless Bastard. What of you noble talk of staying here with us? We will go underground as the mole, the rat and the lesser-spotted boojum beast. We will boldly fight on and never surrender. Sod off you pillock. I was quite touched by this unexpected message and so iti seems that some Boldlies remain some how somewhere and we could hear from them again some time in the future. Note to Editor. I have managed to get the snakeskin briefcase that you asked for. I have one as well and an also a nice pair of shoes. ====================================================================== PE-WJ-Diplo [Acanthopis]: Plea for life Date:Thu, 28 Sep 2006 20:42:59 +0000 To reply, log in at http://www.powersedge.net/?Page=Login or use your newspaper form. Um, but probably not two, unless he is able to conjure up yet another unfortunate stand. Snakes apparently do not fight well against all this metal and guns. But I can't even say this, it seems, for he has escaped, darn him. I had though for certain that I had cut off his way, but then things began to go badly on the front and we had snakies going back and forth and in the end we failed at both missions: BoldlyGo has apparently escaped, and the region known as "Dinner" remains uncaptured. Dadgummit! So, who knows, BoldlyGo may just crop up elsewheres sometime soon. Regarding OckerBoy, he is well protected right now, and will not be killed off. This is not for lack of trying, but for lack of opportunity. If I happen to get a knock, however, I will open the door. He has been so quiet lately that death would change little. Perhaps, Zabor, you could tell us a joke in their stead? You remain on my list of "people I would much like to dine upon but cannot find," and I would appreciate hearing the sweet sound of your voice. BoldlyGo: Darn you!!! And with snake-skin tinkets to boot. Darn you!!! You make me so mad, Mr. Boldly, let me tell you. Still, I have not heard from my friend Dendroaspis (we call him Polly, but that's a long story) in some time. My guess is that your nasty train ran him over, but he is a wily one, and I retain some hope that instead he managed to slither on board. I would have preferred one of the boas, because they give their victims time to contemplate victimhood, but one takes what one gets. Were I you, Mr. Snake-Skinning-Slimy-Thinking-BoldlyGo-But-Come-Back-Less-So-Don't-Even-Give-Regulation-Boots-Pimple-on-the-Nose-Meaniehead, I would not sleep too deeply for some time, lest Polly should awaken you with his beady little eyes and pointy, pointy teeth. Darn you. -- Acanthopis ====================================================================== PE-WJ-Diplo [Coed Porcupines]: Living to Play Again Date:Sat, 30 Sep 2006 04:58:51 +0000 To reply, log in at http://www.powersedge.net/?Page=Login or use your newspaper form. All our classwork gets tiring after a while, and we love to hear what the TI nations have to say about the world, as it's nearly our only form of entertainment these days (other than meeting new leaders like Dr. Yang and Cartwright). So, we also don't think that the snakeys and their friends need to make everyone else extinct in order to declare victory for their side. And surely the snakes must be having trouble moving around by now, with their bellies so full of food, and the weather growing colder. The TI nations clearly don't threaten the SA in any meaningful way, and it's starting to get cold around here again, so maybe it's time for the snakes to do a bit of their winter-hibernation thing, while we see what the world brings us next? Meanwhile, we still border OckerBoy, and we're trying hard to revive his flagging spirits. A bunch of Coed Porcupines have offered to visit him and provide him with our patented brand of "prickly love" therapy, since he seems to be feeling depressed and in need of stimulation! ====================================================================== PE-WJ-Diplo [Coed Porcupines]: Living to Play Again Date:Sat, 30 Sep 2006 05:14:23 +0000 To reply, log in at http://www.powersedge.net/?Page=Login or use your newspaper form. We forgot to mention that Dr. Yang has agreed to sell us one of his Sociological Research Laboratories. Our Coed Porcupine dorm is quite the sociological curiosity and we're keen to learn more about ourselves using his facilities. A bunch of porcupines will be going over to Dr. Yang's other places to help him get everything built...
