Gregorius,

Yeah, I had that problem intermittently for about a month starting in
early August, if I remember. I thought I was the only one. It seemed
like it would skip every Wednesday update, so I would just guess how
many units I probably had in a given region, and make my move based on
that (using an old newspaper). Sounds like you have things worse than
I did, though, if you're not getting any updates at all. Something is
definitely broken. When I started getting Wednesday updates again, I
figured it had all been fixed. 

Bob, while you're working on that problem, could you check the random
number generator? I am pretty convinced that I've lost a statistically
improbable number of regions over the last ten or twenty updates. I
think that the computer hates me!

I have to report that due to the late Field Marshal Sir Gordon Bennet
insisting that battle orders were sent in plain english fort Morrow
has been overrun and the snake army surrounds fort Day.
The new Chief of the General Staff, the newly promoted General Charles
Bromley-Pugh has revealed some of the confusing orders sent during the
four day battle. Speaking the troops defending fort Night he said
rumours that Sir Gordon may have been a snake in the grass could not
be ruled out.
Here are some of the specific field orders that were sent at the
height of the battle.

Units in reserve will move to night today to support the infantry sent
to night to morrow stop.
5th Brigade will return to morrow to night unless prevented by
retreating cavalry who moved to day to morrow stop.
The Chief of Staff is visiting to day and will then move to night to
morrow. 1st regiment will support this action stop.
Advanced units will retreat to day.  All rear units will advance to
morrow as soon as possible stop
Orders issued yesterday for urgent supplies required to day are now to
be sent to morrow stop

Note to Editor. Where is my first class train ticket?

in another game with no diplomacy I had 22 regions and then I lost 8
in a ro over 10 turns or with a few going from neighbours and i wasn't
even the biggest player, they seemed to loss none at all, Thats a
third! It irrecoverable. Now I am WAY behind.

Just in case you're wondering.

All Australians are exactly like Steve Irwin. Except most of them are
still alive and don't go round poking wildlife up the bum in front of
a camera for the amusement of foreigners.
