Someone probably left in attack instead of transfer or someone didn't clear out a region the turn they were supposed to. SA and X have been working together extremely closely against TS and it would be insulting to me if you tried to claim you havening been communicating and coordinating your attacks and troop movements. Porcupines, I'm not imagining the fact that Hermis has never joined an alliance. I'm not imagining the fact that he has transferred large numbers of troops to SA and fought all the members of TS directly. I'm not imagining the fact that SA and X have been working very closely together. How then is it some far-fetched fantasy that Hermis could join X once SA and TS have been depleted from all of this fighting, creating an alliance that would easily meet and hold the victory condition? Would it be so far fetched if SA actually supported X going for the win and gave them regions and troops once TS is not a threat anymore? I mean, if they can't win, then why not back the alliance who can? Once again, it's insulting for you to claim that you've been fighting tooth and nail with TS and getting nowhere. That is an extreme falsehood. Go take a look at the numbers once. The actions of the X alliance certainly lead me to believe that they have intentions of meeting the victory condition. Honestly, the only reason to create an alliance to stop the world from ending is if you can reach the 3/2 threshold. Aachaan and Porcupines were not even close to that mark. Gregorius didn't join them until many turns after the victory condition was stopped. If you just wanted to attack the winning alliance and bring them below the 1/3 then there is really no reason to create an alliance. So Porcupines, you really have no grounds to be mad at TS for your membership in X. Either you are lying about your intentions or you made a mistake and joined when you didn't have to. Neither of those situations is our fault. So you can feel free to stop attacking us at any time now, unless of course you really do want to win this world. Here, let me tickle under your chin a little with this virtual feather... Ah, see, a smile! Ha ha, look, you're having fun! Listen to you giggle like a schoolgirl! Isn't that theraputic? I wouldn't call it insulting if I tried to insinuate that Porcupine and I have been scuffling... I'd call it funny. But then, I have low expectations of humor. Still, speaking of insulting, shouldn't I be insulted that you would imagine me to be such a big screw-up that I'd throw away over 100 units just because I wasn't paying attention? I mean, it's like you're calling me brain-dead! Hoo-boy! Who's throwing down the lack of respect around here? Anyway, let me state for the record that I have no intention of letting X win. I want to win. I have always wanted to win. I'm just not doing a very good job of it right now. Still, I see no personal benefit in being the guys that helped someone else to win. That just makes me their...um...pushover. I guess that if one alliance was filled with jerks and one had a lot of nice folks in it (or maybe was an alliance of pretty girls...you know how guys get), then perhaps I'd throw some support their way even if I got nothing out of it. But right now I kinda like everybody. I mean, James, you're a bit uptight yourself, but your alliance-mates are a good group of folks! And I hear Sorceress is a real cutie. Nah... My plan is not to have X win... My plan is to grab up some more land and then when you guys are on the downswing and X is closing in on the win I'll...I guess I'll... Hmmm.... Maybe that won't happen. X, have you guys thought about this possibility yet? I guess we can burn that bridge when we get to it, eh? -- Acanthopis
