To all nations of this world - 

The Bald Porcupines have at long last found their spines. We have
learned that hiding out among the great powers is not a safe path
after all: sooner or later, someone will tear our world apart and
leave us with nothing. Again.  Isolationism is not an option for
survival!
We have found our spine, and we will not go down without a fight!

What we learned next has brought new life to our nation:  It turns out
that having a little more backbone was also all that we needed to keep
our quills from always falling out!

The Bald Porcupines are no more - we are now the BOLD Porcupines.

Then a funny thing happened:  Two TS nations, with whom we had long
been friendly, offered to hand us regions in order to prevent their
victory. That was strange enough, but we accepted.  However, as the
turns passed, our responses went unanswered. And then  one of those
same nations sent scouts into our lands without cause and in violation
of our longstanding friendship!

Now that we are at long last able to enjoy life again, we are not
ready for the world to end. Our decision: we must fight anyone who
threatens to win.  For now, that is TS. 

The TS nations claim to be honorable, and when it suits them, they
are, but now we see that they also make hollow offers and false
promises.  As the TS alliance sponged up more regions each turn, and
never fell below the victory threshold as they said they would, we
knew that more must be done to save our world.  We mean nothing
personal to those with whom we have long been friends, but we are not
ready to see this world end!  We will oppose the TS and their Thralls
with whatever force it takes to get the message across.

But we must ask the Thralls:  why would you want to let someone else
destroy your nation? What madness is this?

We call upon everyone: do not grant victory to TS!  Take a region or
few right now, as soon as you can, before it's too late!
