Please help in an attack against Kalvis. Lots of information to be shared. Two small points. Kalvis and I had been neighbours and then not neighbours, and then neighbours again, after some geographic rearrangement. His version of our relationship is somewhat self-serving. Kalvis attacked after it appeared I was no longer commanding. There was one news item of a lack of leadership. What actually happened was that my commands where never received. I contacted the moderator about this at the time. Its a mystery. Kalvis misread the lack of leadership. If he noticed at all. Its time to prick that pomposity! ====================================================================== PE-WJ-Diplo [James Howlett]: Notice Date:Wed, 24 Aug 2005 12:45:22 +0000 To reply, log in at http://www.powersedge.net/?Page=Login or use your newspaper form. Once the turn 78 newspaper reaches us we will begin entering our orders to attack. Kalvis previously threatened to break such treaties. He thought that a secret mutual defense treaty with Bantumi superceded all of his other treaties. He helped Bantumi stall while he freely handed over his nation to another buddy of theirs named Ontario. Then after the very first wave of attacks on Ontario he resigned and all of the regions lost their connections, became independents, and got gobbled up by everyone else. We have decided to ignore Kalvis' former dishonorable acts and treat him with respect. We have now given our public notice and will stand by the word of our treaties, even if we cannot trust him to do the same. It irks us to see the largest production nation in the game picking on little nations like Ockerboy. Hopefully we will be able to enter the fray before this funny and honorable leader is destroyed. It seems we forget to anounce our defence pact with Kalvis. It was signed long ago - on turn 40 - so I almost forget about this. Anybody who wants to fight K., please, take this information into account. - Arizona ====================================================================== PE-WJ-Diplo [James Howlett]: Arizona Date:Wed, 24 Aug 2005 14:28:39 +0000 To reply, log in at http://www.powersedge.net/?Page=Login or use your newspaper form. It sounds like you're threatening to break treaties if someone attacks Kalvis. The Specialists have given our notice that we will be attacking Kalvis. You need to give us your notice if you plan to attack us. I hope there is at least some honor left in the large nations of this world. ====================================================================== PE-WJ-Diplo [Acanthopis]: Declaration of war on TS Date:Wed, 24 Aug 2005 14:55:45 +0000 To reply, log in at http://www.powersedge.net/?Page=Login or use your newspaper form. Direct email replies do not go to the sender. (This is intended to protect the privacy of other players.) ====================================================================== As I stated in a message to two separate TS leaders before they made this announcement, I will stand by Kalvis against their attack. I will enforce all of my treaties as well, expecting to enter attack orders after the Turn 78 newspaper has come, just as they will. This declaration holds against all leaders in that alliance, even though I consider myself to be friends with them. I also now announce to OckerBoy that I will attack him when we come into contact, even though I enjoy his posts as well. I also announce that I will consider the transfer of troops to any leader in the TS alliance or to OckerBoy to be a direct danger to myself and my friends, and will consider this to be an act of war, and will consider any nonagression pact between myself and that leader to be immediately null and void, and I will attack at my earliest convenience. Finally, I will go to war against any other leader attacking Kalvis on the turn after their attack, and will consider our nonagression pacts to be null and void. I think this is a positive development all around, because this world was becoming boring for me--sitting around and watching my regions disappear. I ask my friends to stand with me, and my enemies to declare themselves. Better to die of overwhelming attack than by slow, random, actions of the Gods. One last thing. If I begin to lose this war, I will fight until my last region is taken. I hate nothing more than when leaders send their troops to the front and then disband everything, so I will not do it myself. I do not expect other leaders to view honor the same way I do. Good luck to all involved. -- Acanthopis
