(This is intended to protect the privacy of other players.) ====================================================================== I have been thinking about the Ontario situation since I returned, and I don't like it. In my world, you need to fight to get what you have, and if you're going to die then you face your attacker and do the best that you can. nOOb fought that way, and did a good job of it, but very few others do. I'm sick of warriors leaving their people to the Independents the minute things look tough, and I'm sick of people rising in the ranks through gifts and friendships. For me, the final straw was when I saw that Bantumi was transferring his units to Ontario. At least send them to the front to die like warriors! You can't just merge kingdoms, in my book. I do not think there should be a backdoor to power. Therefore, I have decided to publicly give Ontario my 5-turn notice: Ontario, I will attack you at Ontario 324 on Turn 57. If somebody else takes that region, I will attack them on Turn 57, and fight through them until I get to Ontario. Everybody is warned. If we share another border, I will attack you there as well. I am making this announcement without having consulted my friends, and for that, friends, I am very sorry. I don't mean to be a loose cannon, and I know that one friend will be particularly angry with this choice of mine. I did not think that I had time to wait, since I had to make a five-turn announcement--Mr Howlett will have destroyed Ontario by then, and my gesture would be empty... :-) I also want to make another thing clear: I am not a lacky for TS, even though I am finding myself agreeing with them in their ideas of how wars should be fought. Before this land fades, I will battle TS: I have explained this to all of them. If they beat me, I will go down fighting to my very last Snake Pit. Of that they can be sure. But for now, I appreciate their sense of honor. -- Acanthopis
