====================================================================== PE-WI-Diplo [WI-Independents]: Game is Running Again! Date:Thu, 19 Jun 2003 04:38:13 +0000 Hi everyone - Sorry for all the crashes, delays, and bugs. The second and final set of newspapers is the correct one. You can tell because it actually has all the events in the international news, including the resignation of Tzu Doh Nam. (The version that's wrong skipped over all but a handful of inputs and the international news only mentions the Watchers name-change.) I think everything should work normally again now. I am trying to catch up on the discussions about New Era rules options. More on that after the dust settles around here. There are not quite enough votes to force a New Era, and I agree with whoever suggested that the votes must be in place for a couple of turns so as not to completely surprise folks who are temporarily on vacation. I think 5 turns would be waiting too long, though. Maybe 3 turns. Again, I need some time to think these things over before making any decisions. The Moderator ====================================================================== PE-WI-Diplo [Tzu Doh Nam]: Earthquake Date:Thu, 19 Jun 2003 14:52:44 +0000 I found a way to control our unstable geology in Power's Edge --at least control it enough to cause an earthquake. We only had enough energy left to do it once, but I couldn't pass it up. You see, by running around the rim of our regions with tricycles fast enough, you can make the ground unstable and the portion inside the tricycle path sinks into a big hole. The really fascinating part is to see what is on the other side of the hole. I decided that our nation could not pass up this chance to explore unknown regions-- besides, there might be really fun mapping to do on the world that lies underneath this one... At least I hope there is a world underneath this one.... In any case, I am leaving a very long wire behind and so should be able to still see international newspapers and keep track of the map changes up here while still exploring in the other world. We'll all miss you... So long and thanks for all the fish. Tzu Doh Nam the Librarian ====================================================================== PE-WI-Diplo [The Watchers]: Farewell to Tzu Date:Fri, 20 Jun 2003 16:08:41 +0000 Tzu!!! You didn't have to do that! And just when we were so close to having your border issues negotiated away, all the effort gets flushed. Ah well. I hope your new world is better to you than this one was. To all: The Watchers will be occupying the Independent region Tzu-148 this turn, as its only neighbor. Also, we have purchased AFENG's claim to the Independent region "2A" and will be occupying that this turn also. ====================================================================== PE-WI-Diplo [The Spectators]: at last Date:Fri, 20 Jun 2003 17:00:04 +0000 Tzu the Traitor - we won't cry about you - don't wait it. And you should be certain - we never give you a chance to backstab us again. Your 'admirers' ====================================================================== PE-WI-Diplo [AFENG]: Skeletor Assult Date:Sun, 22 Jun 2003 04:22:16 +0000 Skeletor has unjustifiedly plundered my MAJCOMs far beyond the existance of the former alliance. He has ignored my diplomatic request to return everything that was taken beyond any reason. If Skeletor refuses to respond or return the rightfull territories of Flighterside, retaliation will be necessary. Afeng
