Our Holy Court correspondent reports that the Chief Scriber of Maps has been fired. His Majesty Baldwin II is said to have been displeased by the new method of showing roads, countryside and cities as lines, circles and just blank parchment
Total Rubbish, he exclaimed, Where are the dragons, castles, mountains, seas and other familiar signs?  Take him away and bring me something I can look at.
We understand the problem is the vast distances that must now be shown on modern maps, contacts between Holy Outremer and other nations can only be shown now by representative outlines and also are subject to monthly changes as out brave knights rush with all haste to conquer new lands.
It is believed that a new map is being planned but until then the Assistant Scribe of Maps has ordered that small scale sketches be quickly drawn all over the blank areas to appease the King.
