OOC: I feel pretty bad that my post made you feel the need to switch nations! I actually chose the Malian Empire because I know next to nothing about it (or Islam), so when the Wikipedia page runs out, I'm SoL. And on that very topic, I wanted to apologize in advance if I use words wrong or accidentally say something that offends anyone. Honestly, when I started I thought I could play an animist early leader and so make stuff up, but it seems the rulers were islamic pretty much right from the start of the expansion. So, I'll do my best, but if I get close to a line for someone who knows more about either aspect than I do, please just shoot me a message and I'll tone down the ignorant roleplaying. And Umar, I will miss you! I was pretty excited to see that someone was going to take the main shoot of Islam while I took the isolated backwater. Feel free to switch back if you were excited about your character. Otherwise, it will be fun to meet the Chinese as well!
