Announcement from the Moderator to All Leaders:

A New Era is starting in the Silent Bloodshed universe!

With the surprising resignation of Storm Shadow, there is no one left
who can stop Snake Eyes from satisfying the conditions for a New Era,
as he completely dominates the universe now!

Congratulations to Snake Eyes for a hard-fought and hard-earned
victory!!!  He is the first and, so far, the only player ever to
achieve a singlehanded victory in an official Power's Edge game!

Since the next-largest nation in Silent Bloodshed is only about 1/5 of
Snake Eyes' size, we will not wait the customary 5 turns.  The New Era
will start immediately!  The New Era will be almost a continuation of
the current era. All nations are allowed to retain their names, new
nations are still welcome, and Snake Eyes, having achieved victory,
needs a new challenge for himself (to win again in less than 148
moves, perhaps?), and must resign or restart with 2 regions. The name
of the universe, turn, etc. will not change - we'll just keep
playing!

There is one new twist to the rules: Nations are now allowed to
communicate using the "rename" functions (i.e. renaming regions,
leader names, etc.). Other forms of diplomacy and communication (both
within the universe and via real-world channels) are still prohibited.
Alliances, alliance victory, and majority-vote for New Era are also
still prohibited.  The web site has been updated to reflect the new
rules.
