====================================================================== PE-RA-Announce [Moderator]: Mod announcements Date:Wed, 14 Jan 2004 18:22:35 +0000 Announcements from the Moderator to All Leaders: (1) A big welcome to the three new alliances! (2) Per the rules, all nations with at least 10 regions need to be members of alliances, or else NA. Odin, platonic1, Little Gamers, and painted dog: this means you! Please let us know your decision now. Any non-diplomatic actions you take will be ignored by the Universe until you make a decision. (3) xXx violated the 2-announcement limit last turn. Having been previously warned, this time his government was so busy transmitting these high-priority messages to other nations that it was unable to transmit his orders to his units. xXx: Sorry, but it was time to invoke some consequences, and in the few minutes I had to take care of things, that's what I came up with. All: Please remember that your powers as a leader are not infinite! (4) Mr Big, please rename your nation (per the convention) rather than changing your own name as the leader. This is so that your alliance status will appear on the maps. -- Power's Edge, http://www.powersedge.net/ P.S. If you are no longer playing, please use the Resign button in your newspaper to resign. After your resignation goes through, you will no longer receive these messages. ====================================================================== PE-RA-Diplo [-xXx-]: BS Date:Wed, 14 Jan 2004 18:48:14 +0000 To reply, log in at http://www.powersedge.net/?Page=Login or use your newspaper form. I honestly didn't realize it was my third message. Probably because the one message I sent was to correct Asterix's misunderstanding of the new alliance rules. The best part is that I don't think anyone would have realized that I sent three messages if not for him. This is the same guy who (in his different incarnations) has repeatedly used foul language and violated the language filters in public messages (of course there was no consequence for that). This is the same guy who is still holding a grudge against me because I was part of a group of 4 leaders in the previous world that were sick of his aggressive region claiming and decided to attack him. No allies would even think of coming to his aid so he just resigned before the battle even began. Another awesome part is that I have previously suggested to Bob that the announcements per turn limit be increased to 3 because in times of public debate sometimes more than 2 are necessary. If you're going to enforce the 2 messages per turn then enforce it on the server side. I think it royally sucks that I get to be made the example in this. There should be a set penalty before the penalty is enforced. A penalty like this might have made me go check the archives to see how many messages I had already sent before sending another one. I hope that Watchers II also didn't get any orders for this turn because I got 3 public emails from him last turn too. One of them was a duplicate but I assume he had to hit the button twice for that to happen. Rules are rules though and 3 messages sent is 3 message sent. I stand by my subject heading. -xXx- ====================================================================== PE-RA-Diplo [Little Gamers]: Alliance Chosen Date:Wed, 14 Jan 2004 18:59:49 +0000 To reply, log in at http://www.powersedge.net/?Page=Login or use your newspaper form. What should we do???". As the Little Gamers were overly busy with server trouble, they missed the Alliance notification turn. To rectify this the Little Gamers would like to announce that they will be synchronizing their servers and network bandwidth with the KotH alliance currently manned by HAL9000 and Loony Tunes. -Little Gamers ====================================================================== PE-RA-Diplo [HAL 10000]: Big Four ? I then grouped the leaders into whole number percent bins to get a better feel of differences between leaders. Some would add more weight to production, but I prefer other mehods. prepared by HAL 10000 ====================================================================== PE-RA-Diplo [Platonic1]: alliances Date:Thu, 15 Jan 2004 01:08:59 +0000 To reply, log in at http://www.powersedge.net/?Page=Login or use your newspaper form. You can swindle the facts from our past in your message on the way you wish, I'm not going to annoy anybody in this game with my contrarguments about details of this stale story. In general it's rather simple - you was an agressor and I was a victim. That is it, and all the words already said. So stop spaming about it. You should remember in some moment your lie will be materialized against you. And abusive words - it's your favorite method, afterall. Asterix P.S. In fact, you have also send your 4th Diplomatic message during last turn, and the last was supraliminal and intentional. So you meaningly broke the rule. I think that almighty Bob was rather merciful to you, so you shouldn't complain. P.P.S. If here happend to be the third round, I have an offer to named it 'Vendetta', that will be very exact name :-) :-) ====================================================================== PE-RA-Diplo [Asterix]: xXx Date:Fri, 16 Jan 2004 16:27:47 +0000 To reply, log in at http://www.powersedge.net/?Page=Login or use your newspaper form. I have been mistaken a bit - there was no 4th public message of xXx, of course, it was private message to us during the last turn. Also I received an interesting offer from xXx. He offered me to became his personal enemy till the end of this Universe. This is very kind of him and Asterix enthusiastically accepts this offer. xXx, from now and till your death> please, count me as you bitterest enemy. Such is my roleplaying, and I won't change the name in case of any restart here. This offer was in response to Mr. Big's initial offer to negotiate a treaty between our alliances. It's been 68 hours since I messaged the so called non-aggressive in nature third alliance. I'm sure one of their members is merely pre-occupied or perhaps ill and will be communicating with us shortly. As a sign of good will, the KotH alliance will unilaterally refrain from any acts of aggression toward BP alliance members during this upcoming turn. HAL 10000 speaking for KotH
