The Gods Were Not Pleased!

Many great nations emerged at the dawn of the Universe, with
instructions to fight until only one survived.  As time passed, many
fell.  In the end, three nations survived.  But having fought together
against so many foes, the three Great Leaders were no longer enemies. 
Instead of bringing a final war, The First, Scherazade and F.D.R. won
a great war and chose to bring peace to the world. 

Needless to say, this displeased the gods.  Had they not decreed that
only one should emerge, not three?  Even as the final lands of
Seldon's First Foundation were swallowed up by the rebellious
triumvirate, the gods set in motion their plan to put the Universe
back on track.  Even as many of the peoples of the Universe were
starting to celebrate the Great Peace, the gods are casting a great
and terrible spell upon the lands, and the Time of Chaos commences.

Lands will disappear into the void, trade routes will be rent apart.
Crises of all kinds will destroy entire regions, forcing vast
migrations of displaced armies and civilians.  Terror and fear will
rule, and the three Great Leaders, unable to enjoy the peace, will
soon fall into conflict as they strive to protect what they still
have. By the time the Universe finishes shrinking, the Final War will
rage, for the Gods have made it clear that they will stop at nothing
until only one nation surivives.

Which one will it be?
