PE-QS-Diplo [Jon Snow]: The War on Winterfell

It seems that both The First and FDR have chosen a very opportune time
to beseige my nation.  I have been in the midst of helping my ally
Bilbo Baggins repel the unwarranted invasion by Gaia and based on our
past conversations FDR had led me to believe that he currently had no
desire to attack me but was instead considering Bane and wanted to
know if I would help.  Bane aided me against Balthazar though, so I
owe him a great debt and would never attack him.  I declined as I was
trying to allow my troops some rest after our hard fought victory over
the demonic forces of Balthazar but with Gaia's attacks that seemed to
be once again delayed.  I'm sure if I had agreed to help FDR against
Bane that as soon as my forces were in position FDR would have
attacked me from behind as he has done now.

I am currently outnumbered 1227 troops to 317 troops.  I know that
without major aid my nation will fall quickly.  I will try to hold on
as long as I can.  All the middle to small size nations should note
how quickly larger nations will team up together to make fast work of
you once you seem at all vulnerable.  This would be a very good time
for the smaller nations to team up together and eliminate some of the
larger predatory nations.  The First attacked me with almost 200
troops last turn while FDR made two attacks with a total of 187 units.
Their main organized armies are focused on me and I'm sure they have
other forces gathering and coming my way.  Without aid their victory
will be swift, they won't lose many units, but they will gain much
production ... only fueling them towards their next victim.

PE-QS-Diplo [Ecologist]: Snow's utter hypocrisy

That last bit of diplomatic fluff from Jon Snow has to be the single
biggest gem of hypocrisy ever visited upon the world of international
negotiation!

He sought to prey on my nation and *change the balance of armies from
a fair fight between myself and Baggins to an utterly unbalanced one
in which their combined armies vastly outnumbered mine, leaving me no
chance of victory*. 

Now, exactly the same thing has happened to him. He cries blue murder.
Absolutely unbelievable...

PE-QS-Diplo [F.D.R.]: Cannot tolerate Snow any more

It seems that every time I must make a public announcement, it is to
oppose Mr. Snow.  I would like to live in a world where I do not have
such a neighbor.  Mr. Snow's forces are currently spread thin among
his many recent acquisitions. I am glad to see at last that my nation
is not alone in wondering whether we would be his next victim, when he
decides to make up reasons for invading somone.  It is time for new
winds to blow and for the Snow to fall at last to the ground.

P.S. Snow has a remarkable facility for twisting the truths of world
that I live in to suit his own perspective. I never asked him to fight
Bane - what I said was "I would be interested to know your feelings
towards Bane." The context was not target selection, but understanding
relationships among nations. While I did tell Snow some time ago that
I was not planning on invading him immediately, I never rescinded the
declaration of war I made long ago, and certainly we were not at
peace. In any case I have given Snow far more warning that anyone else
in this game has given to any of their opponents, so I do not
understand how he can accuse me of attacking him 'from behind'.
Finally, Snow cannot even report numbers honestly - I hit him with 222
units, not 187.  Since it is clear that he does not want to live in
the same reality I do, I have decided at last that it is time to get
him out of my world.  No doubt he will twist all of these words to
suit himself, but I am sick of that and will not respond except to
send in more armies until at last his evil forked-tongue noises are
silenced.

PE-QS-Diplo [BilboBaggins]: Gaia's Lie

Ecologist s unannounced and unprovoked attack on Middle Earth is not a
fair and equal war.  There was no ill words or any actions between the
peaceful Hobbits and venomous undergrowth of Gaia until she attacked. 
Gaia is without honor and is in no position to judge someone else s
action as Hippocratic.  Regardless, no matter what anyone says about
Snow, Gaia is all that and worse.

PE-QS-Diplo [Ecologist]: Bilbo's distortion of truths

I must answer the latest misinformation from Baggins. I am nothing
like Snow. I attacked Baggins simply because my nation stagnated, and
I needed to keep the spirit of my people alive. I chose him because he
was the nation closest to me in size (though, admittedly, you were a
little *bigger*). There were ill words between us before my attack for
the simple reason that there were no words of substance between us at
all, so my attack broke no treaties or agreements.

Without Snow's intervention, the war between Gaia and Baggins was
*balanced* (equal armies, equal regions, equal production). It is a
shame we couldn't see whose skills emerged victorious from such an
even contest...

Oh, and I didn't call Snow an ancient Greek Doctor. I called him a
hypocrite :)

PE-QS-Diplo [Jon Snow]: Interesting Logic

I would just like to point out that FDR makes no sense.  Ever since he
first started speaking out in favor of Balthazar and his demon spawn I
have tried to convince him that I don't want to fight him, that I was
just doing my ancestral duty and fighting against the demonic forces
of this world.  FDR was going to come in on Balthazar's side but then
Bane started attacking Balthazar and all of a sudden FDR didn't feel
so strongly about helping Balthazar.  I once again tried to arrange a
peace treaty with him and since the end of the war against Balthazar I
have sent FDR three seperate messages regarding a peace aggreement
between us.  I think it is rather obvious that I was not prowling
around for my next victim as he seems to want everyone to think.  The
First also confirmed that I sent him a fairly long message and
admitted that maybe I had been too hasty and too harsh on my judgement
of his character and his nation.  I asked about him and his history so
that I could know the truth instead of what the legends of my world
say about "The First".  He never responded so I expected that he did
not care to work through our past problems.  I did however have
confirmation from FDR that he had lost his desire to attack me and
that he was indeed looking for other prey.  I have tried for nothing
but peace with all of my neighbors except for Balthazar and I feel my
war against him was justified and a true service to rid the world of
his evil.

Gaia attacked my ally Bilbo and so I came to his aid.  I find no
dishonor in this and think any other nation in my situation would have
done the same thing.  Gaia should realize that when he/she/it attacks
someone they may have allies coming to their aid.  It also doesn't
really matter if a nation is slightly bigger than you if you amass
large armies and attack them by surprise.  With the initial gains in
production from a sneak attack any small size difference is more than
accounted for.  Without some help Bilbo would have surely fallen or at
least suffered very heavy losses before he could organize his armies
against Gaia.

I hope the rest of the leaders can look past the harsh words from FDR
and Gaia and see that I have followed what I believe to be the
straight and true course for my nation.
