====================================================================== PE-QS-Diplo [BilboBaggins]: Gaia blind attack on a hobbit Date:Thu, 25 Sep 2003 02:19:22 +0000 Gaia has unwarrentedly attacked my peaceful nation and has taken a territory that is rightfully Hobbiton's. Her treachery, not seen since Gollum crawled the face of Middle Earth, cannot go unopposed. Anyone that think Gaia should be removed by her roots and dried in the sun is welcomed to join in. Bilbo Baggins ====================================================================== PE-QS-Diplo [Ecologist]: Hobbiton's deception Date:Thu, 25 Sep 2003 02:24:59 +0000 My scientific investigation and control strategy of Tookbank stemmed from a required management action aimed at stemming the an alarming build-up of population density of hobbits in the region adjacent to Ecotone - clearly, the existing habitat of Tookbank could no longer support such high concentrations of hobbits, and all ecological theory suggested they were preparing to migrate to new, exposed habitat (why else would they build up such vast herds on my borders?). Premptive wildlife management commonly the most efficent cause of long-term population management... ====================================================================== PE-QS-Diplo [Maverick]: Tree Huggers Date:Thu, 25 Sep 2003 03:29:09 +0000 from Maverick of the Wild Wild West to leaders of QS It would appear that 328 Tree Huggers from Gaia driving into Tookbank with a fleet of Hummers would cause a lot more pollution than a third of that number of little rustic Hobbit characters. That's at least what my trusty Cherokee scouts have told me. They also tell me there are a whole lot of trails criss-crossing Tookbank and quite a few of those little halflings running here and there all the time. I would think those Tree Huggers would be a lot better off with horses and a more even distribution of their population, but I'm just an ole cow poke who needs to unfurl my bed roll and put out the fire. ====================================================================== PE-QS-Diplo [Scherazade]: Independents Date:Sat, 27 Sep 2003 11:04:07 +0000 Persian troops are preparing to march on the independent regions D-16 and D-230. If your explorers should connect to either of these regions, please respect the claims I have on them Scherazade ====================================================================== PE-QS-Diplo [BilboBaggins]: No Deception, just security Date:Thu, 02 Oct 2003 14:23:50 +0000 And obviously not enough security with a neighbor like Gaia. Gaia tries to hide her vicious assult becuase I had tried to safely guard my borders. The amount of hobbits stationed at that shire was being distributed between the 3 connectiong borders that lie at that side of Hobbiton. Obviously, there wasn't enough Hobbits there to repell (over 350 tree forms) such a legion of foul simple-cell life forms. Everyone should know that you have left the rest of your world very weak to throw all that you did at me. May the war of your ways be of Justice unto you Gaia. Bilbo 'the benevolent' Baggins ====================================================================== PE-QS-Diplo [Ecologist]: Hobbit hypocrisy Date:Thu, 02 Oct 2003 22:35:34 +0000 Oh high-and-mighty Bilbo, and what of your vicious and *unprovoked* and relentless attack on the smaller nation of Donatello? Where were your peaceful intentions then? Persia may very well have had a rightful reason in launching their war, but for you to start nipping at the tail end was a bit cowardly. And to then have the hypocrisy to complain vociferously and attempt to call in the help of others when you have the "misfortune" of fighting a considerably *smaller* nation than yourself? I new hobbits were small of body, but aren't they also supposed to be stout of heart? ====================================================================== PE-QS-Diplo [Jon Snow]: war Date:Fri, 03 Oct 2003 17:02:27 +0000 Ecologist of Gaia, If you had no existing treaty with Bilbo and saw that he has been busy fighting Donatello and decided to expand your nation and gain some production then there is no dishonor in attacking him. Trying to create excuses for your hostility and spreading lies IS dishonorable though. Donatello was once the biggest nation in this world. After I first began my war with Balthazar, Donatello attacked me without warning and came to the aid of the demonic hordes. Maverick and Bilbo bravely chose to fight along with me. They focused their efforts on the large Donatello while I focused on Balthazar. They were in the thick of things from the very beginning. Other nations joined into the fighting at various times and their aid was welcomed. Through cooperation and valiant fighting we emerged victorious and helped to rid the world of Balthazar's nation of demon spawn and his ally Donatello. All three of our nations were hoping to let our troops return to their homes to spend time with their families and friends and get some well-deserved rest but that seems rather impossible now. You claim that you are considerably smaller than Bilbo but according to the last news report you two had the exact same number of troops. You were also only 2 production behind Bilbo but with your large army coming in on a sneak attack I would assume you will be larger and have more production very soon. If you were sneak-attacked you would certainly make your case known to the world and ask for help, so please abandon your rediculous arguement that Bilbo should not do the same and your lie that you are the smaller nation. Bilbo is my friend and ally and I will indeed come to his aid. You may consider any borders you have with me to be hostile. Winter is coming, Jon Snow ====================================================================== PE-QS-Diplo [Bane]: Intentions Date:Fri, 03 Oct 2003 20:42:56 +0000 All I must make a comment on the war between Bilbo Baggins and Gaia. First off I have had friendly conversations with both nations. With that I would not be a good example speaking out against Gaia's attack of Bilbo Baggins. I cannot comment of this because, I joined forces with Jon Snow to attack Balthazar without explicitly announcing my intentions. With that said, attacking for the sake of expansion is perfectly normal. However, trying to rationalize the attack by saying it was a preventive measure to keep him from attacking you was the wrong way to go about it. Apparently Bilbo had good reason to attempt to secure his borders from Gaia. Finally, I would like to announce my intentions to the world. After Turn 45, the non-aggression treaty between Gaia and Bane will have expired and I intend to help Bilbo Baggins in anyway that I can. May the moons be full and bright forever. Bane
