Uh-oh! I thought, that when I wrote on T36 '1) How about the one mentioned separately?' and '2) Okay on that deal... let me know how much you need... the sky's the limit!' that you'd have clued in that I wanted to go after SKY ('the one mentioned separately'). In hindsight, I can see that in trying to avoid giving too much away if a message leaked, I was being far too oblique and as a result confusing! Lesson learned. But who were you targeting, and why didn't you move on T45 as we agreed???

I've been operating as though we are partners (even though it will cost me diplomatically with the Sky thing) and I think we're still strong enough to win it all as we discussed many turns ago. I realize that I've been a distracted and confusing partner for the past 5-10 turns and you're welcome to bail out as a result... But I have more time to play going forward, and I'll be a better partner as a result. Also, the two of us together are in a really strong position, and I'll be happy to share half of the regions and production I've already taken (as well as half of the future spoils), and do whatever else it takes to get us balanced in strength so we can fight side-by-side as equals (which I thought was what we were trying to do just now on Turn 45).

I'll leave it to you to decide whether to re-target, or proceed with your original plan. A battle royal would be fine with me! I owe you some favors after my diplomatic screwups (and military successes), so just let me know what you want to do and we'll work it out. I don't know who your target was and now Darklight is an enemy of Sky, and thus a friend of mine, so that might be a factor. I have 5-turn nonaggression treaties with a couple of players now as well.

I will avoid hitting Cygnus until either I hear from you or Turn 50.
