Fellow inhabitants of this Universe,
I will join the fighting in this Universe on or about turn 210.  Unfortunately, for you, I will not make a prior announcement as to who I shall attack!  (Bob, is that within the rules?  I suspect it is, but it's certainly not the usual entry!)  Because of this I will certainly entertain anyone interested in forcing my hand, so you may attack me one turn early.  To clarify, when the turn 209 newspapers arrive, you may attack me if you are in fear of my forces - but expect retribution if you do.  I will make my first attacks upon the arrival of the turn 210 newspapers.
The two major nations in this Universe both have reason to fear.  Their combined forces, once allied, forced my former ally and myself to resign.  I started over.  My ally did not.  (We didn't actually loose an active player.  Kathryn, my wife, was trying to understand this game I was playing.  Now she does, but it's not her kind of game - although from time to time she considers starting another nation....)
Perhaps the threat of significant retribution will bring some measure of peace to the Universe, perhaps not.  You have all been warned, get your defences readied!
