To friends and foes past and present - 

The refugees from Heeter's Haven have made the difficult journey to our new worlds. Unfortunately my dear father did not survive the journey, and many of our people have also passed.  The times are totally chaotic, and the people we now lead were eager for our skills.  Their physical technology greatly surpasses what we had previously, but our empathy and other soft powers, together with our outsider status, allowed us to create trades among the factions which they could not have negotiated. The Heeterlings, as we are now known, are accepted as equals, and as spokesmen, for the great confederation of worlds we now inhabit.  As for leadership and control, only time will tell.  The chaos has led many to explore in new directions... and as for myself, I still have much to learn about these new places....
