On behalf of Kathryn of Katy Did and myself, Ivan of Aerolandia, I would like to negotiate a partial ceasefire. Kathryn has grown tired of the game, and wishes to resign. I have not fought this battle well, and despite leading in the unit stat I am on the verge of collapse. We capitulate. Congratulations to the victors!* May you die under my heels in the next battle! [smilie] So, if it would please everyone, please stop attacking Kathryn while we figure out what to do with her territories and units.... She doesn't want to just resign and leave some impossibly fortified territories floating about, not does she want to unbalance an otherwise interesting game. Borusa and Mykkal, I would be pleased to continue our battles. We can return our forces to high alert if you wish?!?! Best if both continued, or neither.... I might even be able to stop your advances if Bob stays out of it! Bob, is there a subroutine to kill off great numbers of armies when Leaders resign? If not, I have a suggestion - allow me to take the reigns of Kathryn's territories for a few turns. I would take those reigns in the desire to maintain the Universe. You can trust me! We praise Ivan and Kathryn for their honorable decorum in the recently fought battles. They were worthy adversaries. The High Council wishes to take a break and gather our resources. We should all catch or collective breaths. The Time Lords will be happy to be a part of any rebalancing and look forward to new opportunities for war or alliance. We also welcome the newest members to the Forum. Some of us are more formal than others. As the President of Gallifrey, I am always formal. (Okay, so I played a small role, but I think I mainly just took punches... our strategy was for me to be the "anvil" and they were the "hammers".) I would regret it terribly if Katy resigned... Although, I wouldn't mind *restarting* and building a new nation. My old one has gotten too familiar! And perhaps too powerful... Ivan, Mykkal and Borusa can have a nice 3-way adventure while I reconfigure and come back to haunt them... Perhaps Katy would like to have a private little competition with myself and the newbies, to see who can build the best *new* nation?? (Also, I'm thinking about increasing the frequency of region disconnections and other "network crisis events"... which will make building and maintaining a strong nation more... challenging! Any objectors??) I've written to Ivan about how to rearrange Katy's units if she wants to restart (or, heaven forbid, resign). Basically units left in border regions get left behind with the border regions. Everything else disappears. Oh, and one more *minor* little announcement: the new "Time Vortex" universe (which I privately think of as "Borusa's Challenge") will be coming together over the upcoming holiday weekend! The first update will take place next Saturday (July 10th). I really enjoyed the exploring, developing and naming of my territories but the whole strategey and war part is frankly not interesting to me. Way to much like chess, I'm more of a checker girl myself, I like it light and fun not deep and complicated. Ivan (dear husband) you are wise to keep saucy comments to yourself here.
