Dude, you're from Minnesota - you're almost lucky enough to BE Canadian!  I can't imagine how proud your parents are that you've forgotten what snow is really like! (big smilie!)  Don't even know enough about hockey anymore to know the NHL has staged outdoor games each season for awhile now...  Sad, maybe you should see if they'll let you change statehood like they do with nationality...  You could be a Californian...
You know dude, IF you really tried, I bet you can find a place to go skating in your area...  If not, feel free to head toward Mexico over Christmas - Kate, I, and the kids (including Derek, Small Player) are planning on being in San Diego, I know there is a rink there that you can go skating in...
What can you do, a Minnesotan scared of a little snow and cold...  There just isn't much hope!  Maybe a schooling in the game will help...  (really big smilie!)
