Power's Edge Announce: New Universes Start April 24!

Announcement from the Moderator to All Leaders:

The two new Universes which were announced on April 1 were not April
Fools' jokes!
Both universes will start updating on this coming Saturday, April 24
(two updates from now).

The Sudden Conflict universe is a successor to the Silent Bloodshed
universe, but with some new twists to keep things lively and make it
harder for individual nations to rise to global dominance.  Diplomatic
activity is prohibited entirely (imagine a Universe full of radically
different civilizations, which cannot communicate at all).  Individual
regions within the Universe may have crises (and opportunities) of
varios sorts, including links coming/going, production coming/going,
units suffering plagues (or attracting new recruits), and even entire
regions popping in and out of the Universe.  If all goes well, this
universe will run longer than any other universe so far!

The King-of-the-Hill universe is a successor to the Quest for
Supremacy universe.  This will be a closed world:  new Leaders will be
welcome through Turn 10, but after that, the Universe will be a fight
for survival!  The region crisis feature will also be in play in this
Universe.  Only one Leader will eventually survive!
