We're down to 85 regions. I never quite understood how those worked. It occurs to me that it might be easier for the grand war to reach a conclusion if we force that limit even lower. On the other hand, it sounds like David has disaster fatigue, and I'm now peeved at losing my capital this past turn, so even though Barry left, I think I really need to work on improving that code... Right now I have four regions flying all alone through space, another bunch that are twosies (one with Ivan--Hi, Ivan!), then some threes connected to other people, and then my big central region with seven (which does not include my capital...sad face). If I could reconnect nearly as quickly as I deconnect, then I'd take it in stride. I suppose it sounds like we are nearing the cap, so that seems fine. I don't think that driving the cap lower will speed the end, though--it will just mean that any particular victim will have too many places to hide! By the way, was Barry unhappy when he left, or did he just figure that the three of us were just too big to interact with? Or did he not say anything? I was sad to see him go, though I'm still curious to see if a winner is possible in this game the way things stand. Regardless of how I may get frustrated with disasters, I still look forward to Saturday night and Wednesday mornings! -- Dave WP-09-Diplo [UniNet]: A flurry of progress...
