Dear Shareholders - 

In this tough economy, the competition gets fiercer by the week.  The flower children of the left wing, and the libertarian code geeks on the right, are finally figuring out that we control the political process.  It's amazing how politically powerful a centrist elite consensus can be, when it is backed by all the money, and when the printing press is used to perpetually divide the fringe groups so they cannot organize against us!  

Unfortunately, the extremists are growing on both sides of the spectrum, and getting feistier.  We engaged over 500 units this past turn, probably more than we can sustain for long, but fortunately, we have been able to tangle up a number of the enemy, and as usual Fate is on our side, having stranded a large force of Programmers behind our lines.  No doubt many will fall prey to the Pied Piper of 1 Infinite Loop, whose marketing juggernaut has lately acquired almost religious overtones... while others will XOR with the binary data storage team at 1000.  However, defending against all these hostile takeover attempts has left our legal team with little free time.  We will be putting out some subcontracts on K Street, lest the hostile lobbyists succeed in raising our taxes in Congress while we are distracted...
