Lar-se, it's generally considered impolite to scout a region with the intent to Assault it.

In this case, you've invaded a region (-78) to which I had a longstanding claim. Although it was independent when you got there (this time) - it might just as easily have been a region that I ALREADY OWNED -- or that someone else already owned -- because you cannot control where your scouts go!

Behavior of that sort is inclined to make EVERYONE unhappy with you!

I expect you to hand the region back and reimburse me for at least 10 of the 14 units I lost trying to take -78. If you continue to go blundering around taking regions that others discovered and publicly claimed, you must expect the nations of this world to mobilize against you out of sheer self-defense...

My peace offer from last turn is hereby rescinded.  But I would gladly reopen it if you prove amenable to reason...

Greetings to all beings who can hear this message. We of the Trag recently encountered the people know as Retired Warlords and a small battle occurred. It is true that the Trag had entered the space of a new word, just discovered by the Trag via our method of dimensional tunneling. The Warlords claim prior rights to this world and entered the star system just after the Trag secured the world. The Trag have been informed by the Warlords that this method of securing worlds is not acceptable. The warlords described this method as scout-attack. The Trag must explain that our knowledge of dimensional tunneling that allows us to travel great distances of space is new to us. It appears to be well known technology to the Retired Warlords. Our physical understanding must be incomplete. The Trag believed the probability of encountering another traveler to be so small that it could not occur in the lifetime of the universe. Perhaps the activity of multiple travelers in the same time unit causes an attraction that significantly increases probabilities of encounters. The Trag will explore this possibility in light of the new information. In the mean time we will cease scout-attacks as the Warlords called it. We will also leave planet 78 for the Warlords to claim if they wish. The Warlord race have also asked for 14 of the Trag units to be transfered to them to become part of their people. The Trag will comply if assured that the Trag are bio-compatible with the Warlords. The Trag  did not contact any of the Warlord people directly in the battle. The Trag have the charred hulls of their space vehicles. Based on the gas and protein residue bio-compatibility is likely. The Trag will return all remains if this is your custom. We of the Trag seek new worlds for our over burdened and ecologically devastated home world. The Trag regret our recent errors and seek peaceful interaction with all peoples.
