Where is the rushing water? Hm. Where is the homebrew? All he sees anywhere on the barren landscape is "industry" and "production". Production is familiar to Hayduke, but this industry is a new thing--alien and probably nefarious. He sees that Pancho Villa, that Mexican communist, has 7 industry. He must be an Earth-killer, thinks Hayduke. Hayduke notices that he has only 2 industry, which seems satisfyingly low, until he sees that Lord Lovat and the Dissident have just one. He might be able to learn something from those guys. In any event, all industry is evil until proven otherwise, so Hayduke reaches for his monkeywrench. This is gonna take some serious night work. I see Death is lurking out there. He may come after some of you. Presumably The Dissident will disagree with him! Hayduke had inquired about the "Industry", "Trade" and "Production" numbers. It looks like there's a bug right now (this is the first universe we've started with the new system) and the Industry and Trade numbers haven't been calculated correctly. Total Production appears to be accurate. Industry is how many units each region produces on its own; Trade represents an increase in the total value of a given region's industry due to mutually-beneficial exchanges with adjacent regions. Production is the total of Industry and Trade (or at least, it should be after the next update when the calculations come out right). Trade grows with the industry of neighboring regions, both yours and other players'. To increase trade, then, link your regions to as many regions as possible, and invest in building additional production in your own regions. The more industry, the more trade! However, note that due to rounding of numbers, and the fact that unit production is discrete (integer steps), trade may or may not increase with any given connection or increase in production. Finally, remember - if you increase production in a border region, you might also be increasing your neighbor's trade! Not so bad if your neighbor is an ally, but how long can you trust your allies around here??? I'll be happy to answer any other questions anyone might have.
